We make case files that read like the real thing
The Printable Case Files is a small studio of writers and designers who are slightly too fond of detective fiction. We build print-at-home police case files: authentic-looking major-crime paperwork you review as the investigating officer.
What we do
Every product is a complete case you can review at home. We research the procedure, write a watertight investigation, then produce the file (witness statements, records of interview, bank statements, phone and cell-site data, ANPR logs and forensics) so working the case feels like real detective work rather than reading a script.
How it works
- Browse the case files and pick one by setting and difficulty. Play solo or share it.
- Order it. You receive a print-ready PDF for A4 and US Letter straight away.
- Print the file and read it in order, front sheet first, cross-referencing each account against the records.
- Reach a verdict on the Verdict Worksheet, then break the sealed solution to check your call.

How we make them look real
The illusion is in the details. We age paper, redact witness statements, build authentic-looking police forms and stamp every file OFFICIAL–SENSITIVE so it reads like something pulled from a Major Crime archive. A good case file should make you pause and check whether a clue is genuine.
The office
We are a remote team of writers, illustrators and one very particular proofreader. Cases are play-tested with real groups before they are released, because a mystery that falls apart at the table is no use to anyone.
